Genesi supports DoudouLinux on ARM

We are very pleased to announce that Genesi, which “designs, develops and produces low cost, energy efficient computing products using ARM™ and Power Architecture™ technology”, recently accepted to support our project with donated hardware :). Genesi renewed their project support program for the release of their new products. Gérald, our main ARM™ developer, applied and brilliantly convinced them to support us!

As a result we’re about to receive our first Genesi netbooks. Additional devices will ship later depending on availability. We should also benefit from Genesi’s experience about Debian on ARM™ to speedup our port. This is obviously an awesome opportunity for our project which has in mind to go on ARM™ since its beginning.
